Balvenie DoubleWood was matured in American oak casks and then passed through Oloroso sherry casks for an additional nine months. An excellent example of what the Balvenie Distillery can create, which since 1892 has been producing its drinks with exclusively its own barley and completely by hand. On the nose, grapes, notes of sherry, honey, spices.
In the mouth soft spices and vanilla with subtle notes of peat, dried fruits and nuts and an aftertaste with sweet and spicy notes.
